Underwriting The Principal and The Project

In this course the subjective side of underwriting in contract surety is explored.   The underwriting of the obligee, the contract and bid documents, as well as bond forms, are discussed at length.   A complete overview of the information that should be gathered to allow for this subjective underwriting process.  Tools and tips are provided to you so that you can, as the broker, mitigate risk and facilitate approvals more quickly and with less push-back from the surety markets. 

From learning about the Three Cs, to pre- and post-bid processes, your confidence in navigating the contract surety markets will increase - your clients will appreciate and seek out your counsel - and you will build on your success!  

 Note:  If you have not taken Contract Bonds I, there will be a brief recap of that course material in Contract Bonds II however it is recommended that you take that course first if you find you don't have a clear understanding of the recap.
